Description

Graphitic-basic coated electrode with pure nickel core wire. Suited for cold welding of gray, nodular (ductile) and malleable cast irons, cast steel and for joining these base materials to steel, copper alloys or nickel-based alloys. Mainly suitable for repair and maintenance of cast iron. The weld metal is machinable. Always make short beads (up to approx. 40mm) and interpass temperature should not exceed 60ºC. Hammering with a rounded head the weld bead while it is warm to minimize residual stresses. In a crack repair, each end of it should have stop-holes to prevent from progressing further.

Description

The all-weld metal is identically coloured to base material, making it ideal in correcting casting faults. Mainly suitable for repair and maintenance of cast iron. The weld metal is machinable. Always make short beads (up to approx. 40mm) and interpass temperature should not exceed 60ºC. Hammering with a rounded head the weld bead while it is warm to minimize residual stresses.

Description

High graphitic-basic coated electrode with upper efficiency. Suited for cold welding of gray and nodular cast iron as well as for joining these materials with unalloyed steel. The strength of the all-weld metal is higher than that of the Ni-CI type. Suited for single pass welds and for buffer layers. The weld metal is machinable. Always make short beads (up to approx. 40mm) and interpass temperature should not exceed 60ºC. Hammering with a rounded head the weld bead while it is warm to minimize residual stresses.

Description

Special covering with low melting point stick electrode confined for cold welding repair on poorly weldable cast iron (e.g. old cast iron). Used as single layer surfacing or buffer layer before welding with Ni-CI or Ni-Fe stick electrode. Not suitable for filler layers because the risk of hardening. Deposit can only be machined by grinding. Use low amperage to minimize the dilution effect in fusion zone and consequent cracking in weld metal and base metal. Always make short beads (up to approx. 40mm) and interpass temperature should not exceed 60ºC. Hammering with a rounded head the weld bead while it is warm to minimize residual stresses.

Description

Graphitic-basic coated electrode for hot welding nodular cast iron. Provide a weld metal of cast iron with spheroidal graphite. Depending on thermal conditions and chemical composition the stick electrode has a mainly ferritic matrix. Preheat at 550-650ºC and keep interpass temperature at a minimum of 550ºC. Perform a slow cooling at a temperature of 30ºC or less per hour.
