Description

Basic coated electrode with weld metal of martensitic microstructure. For rebuilding worn unalloyed and low alloy components or buffer layer between base material and harder overlays. The deposit is crack-resistant and suitable for hardfacing applications requiring moderate resistance metal-to-metal (rolling) wear; high compressive loads and good impact resistance. Excellent machinability. Allows multi-layers. High tensile steels should be preheated to 150 – 380ºC. Deposit is heat treatable. Typical components to be welded with this electrode include rails, steel shafts, track links, bucket teeths, coupling boxes, drive sprockets, crane wheels, rollers, blades, punches, forging tools, etc.

Description

Basic coated electrode with mainly martensitic microstructure weld metal containing dispersed carbides. Suitable for hardfacing applications requiring good impact resistance, good resistance metal-to-metal friction (rolling and sliding) wear and moderate resistance to mineral abrasion on components made of unalloyed and low alloy steels, cast steel and Mn steels. Suited for one layer applications but in the case of more layers it is advisable a buffer layer with IBERWELD 300. Typical applications are roller tables conveyor, jaw crushers, crushing hammers, roller presses, bulldozer blades, chain links, mixer blades, shredders, etc.

Description

Rutile-basic coated electrode with austenitic microstructure weld metal containing dispersed carbides. Efficiency of 160% . Suitable for hardfacing applications requiring high resistance to severe abrasion by mineral particles, good resistance to corrosion and to oxidation up to 620ºC.
Surface cracks can appear in this weld metal and are not harmful and they can be reduced by preheating to 200-400ºC. With sensitive base material it is advisable a buffer layer with IBERWELD 307LR. Suitable for components used in dredging, earthmoving, mining, steel works, cement woks, sinter installations, soil cultivation equipments etc.

Description

Basic coated electrode with austenitic microstructure weld metal containing high concentration of complex carbides. Efficiency of 200% . Suitable for hardfacing applications requiring high resistance to abrasion by sliding particles, good resistance to heat and oxidation up to 600ºC and good resistance to erosion. Surface cracks can appear in this weld metal and are not harmful and they can be reduced by preheating to 200-400ºC. With sensitive base material it is advisable a buffer layer with IBERWELD 307LR. Suitable for components used in earthmoving, steel mills, cement industry, fertilizer industry, brick industry, conveyors systems such as high temperature screws conveyors, etc.

Description

Basic coated electrode with austenitic microstructure weld metal. Efficiency of
130%. For joining, rebuilding and surfacing on parts of austenitic Mn base materials subjected to extreme impact and compression or prior to the application of a more resistant overlay. It can be used in unalloyed or low alloy steels but as a final overlay, first apply a buffer layer of IBERWELD 307LR. Is recommended avoid high heat input, wide weave beads and exceed interpass temperature above 200ºC. Typical applications include earth moving and dredging components such as buckets and grab tips, crushing components such as jaws, cones, hammers, impeller bars, railway building machinery, etc.

Description

Basic coated electrode with martensitic microstructure plus carbides weld metal with high speed steel features. Suitable for building up and repairing of high speed cutting and machining tools. Is also used for applications involving metal-to-metal wear coupled with temperatures up to 550ºc, good resistance to thermal shock and impact. Low alloyed and tool steels should be preheated at 250-450ºc. For machining the weld metal, carry out an annealing at 800-850ºc during 2-4 hours. To re-harden carry out a normalization heat treatment or oil quenching up to 1180-1240ºc for 1 hour and tempering 2 hours at 500-550ºc. Applied in shear blades, drills, dies, punches, cutting edges, ingot tongs, etc.
