STANDARDS  AWS A5.5: E 7018-A1 ISO 3580-A: E Mo1 B 32

Description:

Basic coated electrode for welding creep resistant steels. Deposits a 0,5% Mo type weld metal with good crack and creep resistance to temperatures up to 500ºC. Employed in the fabrication of pressure vessels, boilers and piping systems. Preheat and interpass temperature between 100-200ºC are recommended. PWHT varies according to the code; the most common range is 570-620ºC with time being dependent on section thickness and cooled in the furnace up to 300ºC at a rate not exceeding 200ºC/h.

Tensile strength [Rm]: > 530 MPa
Elongation [A5]: > 25%
Impact energy [Charpy V (-20ºC)]: > 70J

Description:

Basic coated electrode for welding creep resistant steels. Deposits a 1,25%Cr / 0,5% Mo type weld metal with creep resistance to service temperatures up to 545ºC. Employed is associated with power generation plant, petro-chemical and chemical industries in the fabrication of pressure vessels, boilers and piping systems. In the as-welded condition provide a useful source of hardness weld deposit for build up or hardfacing to resist metal-to-metal wear and strong impact. Preheat and interpass temperatures between 150-250ºC are recommended. The most common range for PWHT is 660-700ºC.

Employed is associated with power generation plant, petro-chemical and chemical industries in the fabrication of pressure vessels, boilers and piping systems. In the aswelded condition provide a useful source of hardness weld deposit for build up or hardfacing to resist metal-to-metal wear and strong impact. Preheat and interpass temperatures between 200-300ºC are recommended. The most common range for PWHT is 690-750ºC.

Description:

Basic coated electrode for welding creep resistant steels. Deposits a 5%Cr / 0,5% Mo type weld metal with creep resistance to service temperatures up to 550ºC. Used in the fabrication of pressure vessels, boilers and piping systems. Preheat and interpass temperatures between 225-300ºC are recommended. PWHT would normally be in the range 730-760ºC (time depends on material thickness).

Description:

Basic coated electrode for welding fine grain steels in low temperature applications. Deposits a 2,5%Ni-alloyed weld metal type with high yield strength and excellent fracture toughness at temperatures down to (-) 60ºC. Suitable for storage tanks construction, liquid gas distribution pipes and shipbuilding. Also can be used in weathering steels but will not immediately color match. Interpass temperature below 250ºC.

Description:

Basic coated electrode widely used for welding HSLA structural steels including quenched and tempered steels and heat treated fine grained steels for service temperatures up to 425ºC e.g. bridge construction, civil construction, structural transport, mining and earth moving applications.
